New Blockchains, Who Dis?

You asked, and we listened! We’ve been busy adding support for new blockchains to help make Stables even more powerful for more of our users and allow you to deposit your stablecoins, no matter which blockchain they might be hanging out on.

The three new blockchains now live for deposits on Stables are:

  • Ronin Network
  • Tron
  • Near

We’re constantly looking to add more stablecoins and blockchains, so make sure to keep tagging us on socials asking “wen”, and we’ll be sure to add them to our list (we do have a list, and we have more to add over the coming weeks!)

So what’s so good about these blockchains, and why have we added them?

Ronin Network:

Best known for blockchain gaming (or GameFi) projects such as Axie Infinity and Pixels, Ronin Network offers significantly lower transaction fees and faster processing times compared to other blockchains such as Ethereum. This makes it ideal for games with frequent micro-transactions, and is a large reason why we’ve added it - especially helpful for users across the Philippines who are the largest adopters of GameFi globally!

Tron:

Originally a fork of the Ethereum blockchain, Tron stands out due to its high throughput and scalability, making it perfect for consumers across the world. USDT on Tron is one of the most adopted ways of sending stablecoins, and we’re now happy to support USDT deposits on Tron!

Near:

With its simplicity and scalability at the core, Near caters to a wide user base. Its efficient sharding mechanism ensures low-cost, scalable solutions for both end users as well as developers. Near also has a large focus on carbon neutrality, which has attracted many environmentally conscious users. Stables now supports both USDC and USDT deposits on Near.

Ready to deposit and get started with Stables?

  1. Open the Stables app and tap “Top up”.
  2. Tap "Stablecoins" and use the dropdowns to choose your preferred stablecoin and network.
  3. Copy your wallet address and paste this into your external wallet.

That's it! Once you’ve sent the stablecoins across from your other wallet or exchange, your Stables wallet will show your updated balance, ready to spend, send or bridge/swap onto another blockchain.
